The stones are a metaphor for the many unique situations and challenges we face in life, and the carefully balanced stack illustrates the beauty of non-uniformity and its fundamental value for harmony and stability.
Mixed media on 100% recycled cotton hand-made paper torn to size by Caroline and featuring lovely deckled edges. Float mounted in a complimentary deep green mat and set in a white-washed wire-brushed wood frame.
This piece is currently on display at the Manitou Art League 60th annual art show in Manitowish Waters, WI.
