Original artwork can be found in galleries, local shops, and around the studio.
We try to keep the location information on the product page for each piece accurate and up to date, but occasionally artwork makes its way to another location before we update the site.
If there’s an original piece you’d like to purchase, please reach out to us at caroline@carolinemeehean.com and if it’s not in the studio, we’ll put you in touch with the gallery or shop where it can be purchased.
Our gallery and/or shop partners are happy to ship the piece to you.
I create a variety of original artwork and each requires a different manner of care.
Originals on paper should be framed under glass or plexiglass using archival framing materials. If you purchased a framed piece, it’s already protected! If you purchase an unframed piece, we recommend you keep it protected from the natural oils found on fingers and hands until it is framed. Paintings on paper do not have a protective coating applied to them. Also, be sure to avoid hanging your artwork, whether framed or unframed, in full sun, as UV rays can cause fading and discoloration.
Originals mounted on wood panels or other materials have been treated with a protective archival wax. They can be wiped with a clean damp cloth (water only, no chemicals) as needed. Again, avoid displaying your art in direct sunlight as UV rays and pigments don’t always play nicely together.
