Reflections in the Riffles
A tribute to kayaking in the Upper Peninsula and inspired by the slow, meandering sections of the northern branch of the Paint River, this piece is meant to evoke a sense of calm and peacefulness, similar to the feelings experienced when gliding over glimmers of sunlight on a warm summer afternoon.
Mixed media on 100% recycled cotton hand-made paper with deckled edges. Float framed on a moss green mat and set in a beautiful hardwood frame showcasing varying rich shades of brown and tan.
This piece is currently on display at the Campanile Center for the Arts in Minocqua, WI.
